Travel to and in Japan:

Fly direct to Narita, Tokyo (or if you can a direct flight to Chitose for Hokkaido). From Narita it's an internal flight to Chitose, Sapporo for Hokkaido resorts or a train journey to other locations. This trains can at times be expensive so make sure you get your JR Pass prior to departing on your holiday. Exclusively for foreign visitors, this pass will provide you with unlimited rail journeys (including the Shinkansen - or Bullet Train) for a set period of time.
